Pressure Equipment
Section 65(4) of the Safety Codes Act provides for the adoption of a new code within 12 months following publication, unless a Minister's order is published.
Alberta’s pressure equipment regulator, ABSA, has issued several Information Bulletins, adopting the 2023 edition of CSA B52 (Mechanical refrigeration code) effective March 6, 2025, allowing installation of large commercial or industrial HVACR systems that require ABSA design review or inspections.
