Starting September, these college/training facilities will be delivering HRAI’s Residential Heat Pump Proficiency training. This training covers every aspect of installation, servicing and maintenance, with a strong focus on low voltage and controls, maintenance and servicing, and troubleshooting and commissioning.
Technicians and employers are eligible for TUITION and WAGE SUBSIDIES. A travel subsidy is also available for students who will travel more than 200 km one way to attend in-person training.
The training is eight weeks in duration. Each week includes four hours of flexible, online learning that can be done whenever it is convenient, and six hours of practical, hands-on training in a lab environment (typically held on the weekends).
To be eligible for the subsidies, students need to complete 100% of the training.
The subsidy process will be accessible from this page when the time is appropriate. You will need to submit copies of your tuition receipt and the certificate of completion. No pre-eligibility is required.
This training will be offered again March/April 2027.
This course is designed for 313D mechanics and G2 technicians with 10 years experience who serve the residential HVAC market.
Subsidies:
- Tuition Subsidy = $1750
- Wage Subsidy = $30/hour x 6 hours x 8 weeks
- Travel Subsidy = $100 for gas if >400 km round trip; additional $200 for hotel if >600 km round trip
