The Thermostat Recovery Program (TRP) is a stewardship program which operates throughout Canada and is focused on recovering and recycling thermostats that are no longer in use. We accept mercury-containing, electronic and mechanical thermostats and ensure that all the components, especially mercury, are kept out of the waste stream. If you would like to switch to a newer more energy efficient programmable thermostat and responsibly dispose of your old one, click on the TRP logo to find a participating drop-off location near you!
