Will supply chain issues sink HVAC contractors? ACHR News weighs in
Like HRAI, our industry allies at Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration (ACHR) News are keeping a vigilant eye on Canada’s supply chain issues. In his recent update for the site, editorial director Kyle Gargaro shared his views on this evolving challenge, noting: “Buckle up, HVAC contractors. The word on the street is supply chain issues are going to get worse instead of better for the rest of 2022 — and even well into 2023.”
Not that HVAC contractors are without solutions. In the article, Will New Supply Chain Issues Put Small HVAC Contractors Out of Business, Gargaro summarizes the challenges facing the industry and explores ways in which companies are getting through.
“In this new post-COVID world, contractors are juggling suppliers to make sure they have enough product,” he offers in one example. “Many more contractors are working with two or three manufacturers, even though they would prefer in many cases to stay with one or two. The bottom line is getting your hands on product in a timely manner.”
The ACHR News column also features insights from Matt Michel, Service Nation president, who was a recent guest on the ACHR NEWS podcast.
