Refrigerant Management Canada Increases RMC User Fee Effective June 1, 2024
Please be advised that Refrigerant Management Canada (RMC) reports that the fee for accepting CFC-11 refrigerant for disposal will be changing.
Effective June 1, 2024, the fee will be $30.00/kilogram for CFC-11 refrigerant entering the RMC program for destruction.
Wholesalers: Any of your customers who have CFC-11 to dispose of need to be made aware of this pricing change effective June 1, 2024. which is payable directly to RMC.
Prior to Wholesalers accepting CFC-11 refrigerant, please ensure they have received an RMC Authorization number from RMC for their cylinders containing CFC-11. If not, please have your customers contact Nancy Larsen, Refrigerant Management Canada Program Coordinator at 1 (800) 267-2231 ext. 245 or nlarsen@hrai.ca. Once an RMC Authorization number is assigned, this number should be affixed to the cylinders being returned and is then authorized to go into the program.
