Strength in numbers: Across the Board!

As we close the 2025/26 fiscal year, I am incredibly proud of what HRAI has accomplished, and even more grateful to the members whose engagement, expertise and support made these results possible.

This was another exceptional year for our association. HRAI performed strongly across our key areas of focus, including membership, education, events, advocacy, communications and stakeholder engagement. Just as importantly, we enter the new fiscal year in an excellent financial position, giving us the confidence and capacity to invest in our strategic plan and pursue the priorities that matter most to our members.

What stands out most is the growing strength of HRAI’s national community. Membership continued to grow, we held 55 chapter meetings across Canada and continued to expand participation in our education programs beyond Ontario. Our communications reached more people than ever, while In the Air continued to achieve exceptional engagement. Most importantly, our content and priorities remained member-driven, with more than 200 members featured in our communications and many more contributing through committees, surveys, consultations and advocacy initiatives.

Your input is also strengthening HRAI’s voice with governments and regulators. Together, we achieved tangible advocacy outcomes while continuing to advance industry priorities related to skilled trades, incentive-program design, energy efficiency, trade, refrigerants, codes and standards, and workforce development. Government increasingly looks to HRAI for industry expertise, and that credibility comes directly from the knowledge, experience and participation of our members.

We also continued investing in the future of our industry. Our workforce initiatives are reaching thousands of young people and creating greater awareness of the rewarding careers available in HVACR. At the same time, our education portfolio continues to evolve, with expanded technical programming, greater national accessibility, French-language training and new partnerships designed to provide relevant learning opportunities to members across Canada. Behind all of this is a committed HRAI team that has embraced significant organizational change while continuing to deliver for members. We are strengthening our capabilities in sales, events, technology, data and member service so that HRAI is positioned to deliver even greater value in the years ahead.

None of these accomplishments belong to HRAI alone. They are the result of a true HRAI community-wide effort. Our members, volunteers, chapter leaders, committee participants, Boards, sponsors, partners and staff all play an essential role. Every survey response, conversation, committee meeting, event and piece of industry expertise shared with us helps shape our priorities and makes HRAI stronger.

Thank-you members, for your trust, your candid input and your continued support. We have much to be proud of. More importantly, we are in an excellent position to build on this momentum, fund our strategic priorities and continue strengthening HRAI’s value and impact for the HVACR industry across Canada.
