May 6 & 7: HRAI sponsored once again, two competitions at Skills Ontario. There were secondary and post-secondary competitors in both heating systems and refrigeration & air conditioning categories. For the first time, the refrigeration/air conditioning competition was extended over two days for one group of competitors. There were over 70 unique skills competing at this years Skills Ontario and our two HRAI skills committees devoted many hours leading up to the competition so that HVACR could have representation. Hence, a great deal of thanks to our Heating and Refrigeration committee members and volunteer judges who made this year another success. Also, an additional thank you to our donors, EMCO, Daikin, Navien, Gastite, FlashShield, Navac, Enercare, Battscan, Great Lakes Copper, Bardon, Bathica, Kane, Refrigerative Supply, Master Group, Spacevent, Kerr, Rheem, ClimateCare and donations from the following HRAI Chapters: Golden Horseshoe, GTA, Waterloo-Wellington, London, Huronia, Essex-Kent-Lambton, Brand-Haldimand-Norfolk.
