Quebec Enhancing Heat Pump Grants for Targeted Households and Multi-Residential Buildings

Hydro-Québec is expanding its residential energy efficiency program, LogisVert, with additional support for heat pumps through subsidies for modest-income households and multi-unit residential buildings.
As of June 15, Hydro-Québec, in collaboration with Quebec’s environment ministry, is offering additional bonus financing for qualifying heat pump purchases and installations.
The program targets owners of multi-unit dwellings in areas designated as energy insecure, with buildings built in 1995 or earlier. Eligible projects must involve ENERGY STAR® certified Cold Climate wall-mounted heat pumps.
The financial assistance represents an 83% increase over the standard cold-climate wall-mounted heat pump grant, rising from $120 to $220 per 1,000 BTU/h at -8°C when all requirements are met.
