HRAI President Sandy MacLeod (left), Aimee Carpenter, ORAC Program & Communications Manager (centre) and HRAI GR Specialist Chelsea Goberdhan (right) recently took part in ORAC’s third annual Holiday Toy Drive Campaign, in partnership with the York Regional Police’s “Holiday Heroes.” 

Our team was privileged to join ORAC and the YRP in spreading holiday cheer, supporting the Salvation Army and Victim Services of York Region with 100 per cent of the donations directly supporting families from the community in need. 

Every year, this program supports thousands of individuals and families in need right here in York Region. The campaign, which runs from November 14 to December 16, 2022, collects cash, gift cards, new toys, new children's clothing and non-perishable food items, all of which are distributed through our partners Salvation Army and Victim Services of York Region. 

Through the generosity of our community, including businesses, schools, organizations and community groups, Holiday Heroes has been able to help approximately 100,000 individuals and families in need since the program launched 26 years ago.
