Ontario Ministry seeks input on Heat Stress Regulations

The Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) are seeking comments and feedback on proposed amendments on Heat Stress Regulations, and Outdoor Air Quality.  

The Ministry is proposing to introduce a stand-alone heat stress regulation under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) with specific requirements that would apply to all workplaces to which the OHSA applies.  

MLITSD is conducting a Regulatory Impact Analysis (RIA) of these proposed amendments. A RIA is a process of identifying and assessing the potential benefits and costs of proposed regulations. As part of this consultation, MLITSD is seeking your comments and feedback pertaining to the anticipated costs and benefits of implementing these proposed amendments.
