Ontario 2022 Cabinet: Return of Familiar Faces and New Opportunities
Last week, Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced the cabinet members of the 43rd Legislature. The cabinet includes 30 members. HRAI has worked to develop influential relationships with several prominent Ministers who are close and trusted members of the Ford team and have now been returned to their files. Among the high-profile cabinet members maintaining their Ministerial duties are Todd Smith as Minister of Energy and Monte McNaughton as Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development.
A new face includes Parm Gill as Minister of the new Ministry of Red Tape Reduction, a department with which HRAI has had a productive relationship under the previous Associate Minister of Red tape Reduction and Small Business, Nina Tangri.
HRAI will continue to work on behalf of members in Ontario to ensure this new government is responsive to the needs of the HVACR sector.
