Nova Scotia Power to End its On Bill Financing
On October 21, 2022 the Nova Scotia government tabled legislation to amend the Public Utilities Act to remove Nova Scotia Power’s ability to enter into financing arrangements with customers for the supply of heating equipment. As such, Thursday, November 10, 2022 will be the last day Nova Scotia Power will be accepting on-bill
financing applications.
Applications submitted on or before Thursday, November 10, 2022 will still be processed, meaning that those customers will still have the ability to do on-bill financing through their Nova Scotia Power bill if they choose to.
Those customers booked for assessments or installations who have made an application on or
before November 10, 2022 would still be eligible. If no application has been made on or before
November 10, 2022 they would no longer be eligible.
Nova Scotia Power remains committed to supporting the residential heating industry including
its partner contractors and customers.
