David Eby was sworn in as BC’s 37th Premier last week after his acclamation as premier-designate in an earlier leadership race. In a break from tradition, the ceremony was held in the Musqueam Community Centre rather than the usual Government House.
Eby wasted no time making his mark. He announced two credits to address affordability at the swearing in ceremony, followed by an announcement on public safety on Sunday and housing on Monday. Previously, Eby named health care, public safety, affordable housing, and climate action as top priorities and ambitions to move fast on these issues.
