Need 12 months to complete your project?
Don’t miss the upcoming date if you need more time to construct
ESB Alberta knows some projects take longer than others, especially larger or more technically complex projects. If you’re working on an application for Combined Heat and Power systems, Ground Source Heat Pumps, Waste Energy Recovery based on the Organic Rankine Cycle, or a larger HVAC project, please note that there is only twelve months before the program close. If your project needs a full twelve months for construction, please consider applying prior to March 31, 2022.
All ESB projects receive a default completion deadline of six months, from the date the project receives pre-approval. If you require an extension to complete your Combined Heat and Power systems, Ground Source Heat Pumps, Waste Energy Recovery based on the Organic Rankine Cycle, or larger HVAC project, you will need to submit a Change Request to ERA for approval. Extension requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Upon request, the above listed project types can be approved for up to a total of 12 months from their pre-approval date to complete construction. Any approved deadline extensions will also be clearly shown on the application approval form.
Please see the Program Guidebook (Section 5) or the Change Request Instructions for more information.
