Join the City of Toronto on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at noon as they explore the critical topic of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Toronto's existing buildings.

The city is developing a by-law which will require all buildings 6,458 ft2 (600m2) and larger to annually report energy and water use to the city. Building owners would be required to submit their data online, using the free Energy Star Portfolio Manager tool. Buildings over 50,000 ft2 are currently required to submit their energy and water usage to the province on an annual basis and the process used to report to the city will be similar.

Discover how Toronto is developing an Emissions Performance Reporting requirement and how it will support improving the sustainability of buildings. Be a part of the conversation and learn how we can collectively take action to create a greener, more environmentally responsible cityscape.

Learn about the public engagement process currently underway and the reports being presented to the City Council.
