HRAI-ORAC 2023 Ontario Budget Submission Calls for Greater Investments in HVACR from Province
This week HRAI and ORAC submitted five recommendations in our Ontario Budget Consultation submission entitled, “Building a Better Ontario for Future Generations”. Prebudget submissions provide a unique opportunity for industry to make recommendations to the government as they begin to plan for the upcoming fiscal year. These recommendations will urge the government to take action on issues of concern for industry.
HRAI in developing this year’s submission sought member input on the topics and issues that the HVACR industry was facing. Using the insights shared by members, HRAI staff were able to craft the following five key recommendations:
- Supporting HVACR Workforce Development
- Supporting Domestic HVACR Manufacturing
- Introduction of a Municipal and Community Building Retrofit Program
- Improving Ventilation and IAQ Standards
- Eliminating Municipal Heating Contractor Licensing
