HRAI Ontario Grass-Roots Campaign: Connect with Provincial Candidates from All Parties!

In the coming days, Premier Doug Ford will trigger an election, once again creating an opportunity for Ontarians to directly influence the future of Ontario via the voting booth.  While there will be a lot of speech-making over the next four weeks, and while it appears as though the major parties all seem to have their platforms set, this election will also create unique opportunities to influence politicians and create awareness about industry priorities.

HRAI is inviting members to participate in a “grass-roots” campaign to educate provincial politicians of all parties during the upcoming election about the importance of the HVACR industry to life in Ontario. The goal is to make initial connections with prospective provincial representatives at a time when they are particularly attuned to the needs of constituents.  Well-informed candidates will make more responsive representatives when elected!

If you are interested in participating in this program, just let us know, and we will invite local candidates to meet with you.  We will also prepare you to discuss general issues of importance to the industry.  You will be given an information toolkit to help guide the process (including some key talking points and tactics).  You may even want to provide a tour of your business!

Don’t underestimate the power of making these connections!  With your help, we can find new champions in the next Provincial Parliament who will help put forward our issues and make the regulatory environment easier for HVACR businesses across the country.

If you are interested in participating in this political engagement program, please contact Chelsea Goberdhan at 1-800-267-2231, ext. 236 or email cgoberdhan@hrai.ca.  All we need is your name, company and postal code and we will take it from there.
