Home Performance Stakeholder Council, PRC & Heat Pump Rebate Eligibility Requirements
There is an important update from HPSC’s program partners regarding heat pump rebate eligibility requirements. It was previously communicated that on April 1, 2022, homeowners would need to use a Home Performance Contractor Network (HPCN) member to access CleanBC Better Homes and Home Renovation Rebate program heat pump rebates.
The program partners are aware of the HVAC industry’s challenges in B.C. and the impact on contractors’ ability to complete their HPCN registration. To ensure an adequate supply of HPCN contractors for homeowners, the requirement to use an HPCN member to be eligible for heat pump rebates has moved to July 1, 2022.
Beginning July 1, 2022, customers must use an HPCN member to be eligible for heat pump rebates in the CleanBC Better Homes and Home Renovation Rebates program.
Note: all HVAC contractors who have started or completed their registered with the HPCN and Program Registered Contractor (PRC) network were sent notifications of this update on March 16th, 2022, including the attached July 1 HPCN FAQ.
HVAC suppliers & distributors will also receive this email.
