Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA) - Expanded eligibility for oil and gas producers
Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA) is expanding eligibility for the Energy Savings for Business (ESB) program to enable increased participation from small oil and gas producers with facilities in Alberta. ESB has always been open to oil and gas producers. Access to funding will now be expanded further, to allow producers regulated under the Technology Innovations and Emission Reduction regulation (TIER) to benefit as well.
Applying through a limited-time intake period for applications called Small Producers Energy Efficiency Deployment (SPEED), all oil and gas producers will now be able to access incentives for energy-saving technologies in a sector where huge opportunities for emissions reductions and cost-savings exist. This includes the existing ESB Measures List, as well as new technologies such as:
• Stationary engine high efficiency upgrade – retrofit
• Stationary engine high efficiency upgrade – replacement
• Stationary engine high efficiency upgrade – air to fuel ratio controller
• Pumpjack electrification technologies
• Pump-off controllers
