Q: What edition of UL 60355-2-40 is currently in process? 

A: The fourth edition of UL 60335-2-40 is expected to publish by the end of 2022. This edition contains updates to the standard based on additional research. These changes include updated refrigerant charge levels and mitigation requirements. In addition, the fourth edition will include a separate annex for information technology equipment and will further enable the use of low-global warming potential refrigerants.
