Canada Greener Homes Grant Program Update
HRAI has been meeting with NRCan staff on a regular basis and advocating for constructive improvements to the Greener Homes Grant Program.
- Frequency of Eligible Product Updates
NRCan recently advised HRAI that has revised the frequency of the eligible product lists updates for the Canada Greener Homes Grant initiative. Going forward, updates will occur quarterly in September, December, March, June of each year.
Brand owners/manufacturers/dealers are responsible for having their information listed in the data sources used by NRCan no later than August 1st, November 1st, February 1st and May 1st and for ensuring that the reported information is correct.
- Where to Find Eligible Product Listings
Some members noticed recently that a website that was used in the early rollout of the Greener Homes program was still active, though it was no longer being updated. HRAI inquired with NRCan and was advised that this matter is being corrected and that the current and up-to-date searchable product website, where all the relevant links can be found at the following link:

- How to Identify of a Product is Eligible
At this link you will find a copy of a power point presentation that includes clarification on how -- as of August 1st, 2022 -- energy advisors are validating the heat distribution requirement for a heat pump system as well details on the transition period noted above.
