Atlantic Listening Tour 2026

Abhi Kantamneni, Director of Government Relations, HRAI

I am looking for HVACR contractors in the Atlantic region who are willing to take a short online heat-pump skills assessment (you will get $100 for your time). The results will help us better understand workforce needs on the ground and strengthen how we advocate for the industry. Take the assessment here: https://www.hrai.ca/atlantic-region-heat-pump-skills-gap-assessment

I’m also hitting the road across Atlantic Canada this spring to listen to contractors. If you are in the region, I want to hear about the real-world barriers and priorities shaping your work. No topic is off limits  whether it is rebate program designpermitting and inspections, workforce and training challenges, succession planning or business modernization. And much more.

Why this road trip? Because I see my job as a privilege and I take it seriously (even if I don’t always take myself seriously). Our HRAI members, primarily contractors, alongside wholesalers and manufacturers, work very hard. Their dues in part fund my work, and to do this job well, I want to stay grounded in the day-to-day realities of our members.

Learning directly from our members helps me keep my pencils sharp. More importantly, it helps me reflect our member’s priorities accurately in the rooms where decisions are made - decisions that shape their business, work, and livelihood.

If you’re an HVACR contractor in the Atlantic region, and if you are open for a quick chat, a ride-along, or just letting me drop by your shop, job site or rooftop, I’d love to connect with you – HRAI member or not.
