Over the past several months, HRAI has focused its efforts on leading the Canadian HVACR industry safely and strongly through the challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought.
“Our number one priority is supporting our industry and members through any obstacles that come our way. The COVID-19 pandemic is no exception,” says HRAI President Sandy MacLeod says. “Our members know that we’re advocating for them every step of the way, and we will get through this together.”
HRAI is working harder than ever to help businesses survive and thrive.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, HRAI has continually spoken up to the federal government regarding issues impacting the HVACR industry during this time. This has included being recognized as an “essential service,” accessing government financial support, and a safe return to work. HRAI encourages members to continue to reach out with their concerns so it can continue to be a voice for the industry.
Members of HRAI also have access to lots of exclusive benefits, ranging from online professional development opportunities to exclusive discounts on a range of services. HRAI has worked to remind members to take advantage of these benefits to boost their businesses during this time – to turn this pandemic into an opportunity to grow stronger.

At this time, HRAI has announced a slow-down on the membership renewal period for the 2020-21 membership year, which would typically be approaching. They know that many of their members have faced financial challenges due to COVID-19, and are offering members the option to renew now or take a bit of time until the situation is clearer.

While much of the future is uncertain, one thing is clear: HRAI and its members will move forward together through COVID-19, and everything that comes after.
