Residential Integrated Combo Systems

Who would benefit from this course?

What you will learn

HRAI has suspended offering the Residential Integrated Combo Systems certification course because the technical material in the course manual is in need of updating.  For this updating to occur, HRAI will be working with CSA and other regulatory bodies to develop a much needed Canadian standard for Combo Systems. Once the standard is published, the course curriculum and manual will be revised and updated and the course reintroduced. The target date for having the course reintroduced is the Fall of 2019 subject to the publication date of the new standard.

Because of the suspension of this course, the HRAI RASDT (Residential Air System Design Technician) and RHDT (Res. Radiant Hydronics Design Technician) designations will now not require the completion of the Combo System course as a part of these designations until such time as the updated course is available.  Individuals who complete the other courses required for these designations will be issued the designation with an expiry date of December 31, 2021. Once the revised Combo course is reinstated, these designation holders will be required to take the course within the first 18 months of the date when the new course becomes available.  If the course is not taken within this timeframe, the designation will not be extended beyond December 31, 2021.

If you have any questions regarding the Residential Integrated Combo Systems course or the designations, please contact Angie Mantei at or 1-800-267-2231 ext 237.
