What you will learn
This 4-day course is based on the CSA F280-12 (R2021), Determining the required capacity of residential space heating and cooling appliances, a nationally recognized standard which is referenced by all Canadian Building Codes. This course takes students through step by step calculation to help them determine the required or appropriate appliances after understanding the heat loss and heat gain in building envelope. The calculation includes examining above and below grade HLHG, air leakage and ventilation and the influence that people, appliances and window shading have on the system. The Best Part: With the successful completion of this course, participants will be recognized by municipal building officials and plans examiners for having the technical competency needed to perform residential load calculations and select the appropriate HVAC appliances. A digital "Residential Heat Loss/Heat Gain Calculations" Course Manual is included with your registration fee. For a Hard Copy Manual go to Program Options below and click on “ADD”. There is a $35 charge for shipping/handling.
