What you will learn

Basics to Residential Air Systems

Through this online course, participants are introduced to the basic principles of residential air system.  A combination of mathematical skills are reviewed to assist in basic calculations of airflow dynamics.  Participants then move onto learning basic concepts including covering house construction components, basics of heat loss/heat gain, pressures, ducts & fittings, and an overview of different types of residential forced air systems.  The course also covers basic air system selection and regulatory topics. 

This online course is a must have for the HVAC Professional wanting to build their basic knowledge of air system design, or use this session as a preliminary information session prior to the full 4 day HRAI Residential Air System Design course.

This introductory course is a self-directed online course. You can move through the modules at your own pace.

Presented through an interactive, electronic textbook, you complete the modules and finish off the course with a final quiz.
