HRAI has partnered with Environment and Climate Change Canada to bring you essential heat pump skills training at NO COST to you or your employer!

Training will:

  • Be run March/April 2025
  • Be a combination of flexible at home, on-line learning with valuable in-lab practical training
  • Include training for ducted, ductless and specialty heat pumps

Training will cover the fundamentals and give greater focus on:

  • Specialty Tools
  • Specialty Products and Refrigerants
  • Sizing and Selection
  • Controls and Line Voltage
  • Codes and Commissioning

These were all areas that showed the largest gaps from the Skills Gap Assessment in Phase I.

  • If you are 313D, you will gain some refresher training in skill areas that you may have not had a lot of opportunity to use in your day-to-day work. You will also get up-to-date on the technology advances since your apprenticeship.

This research will frame and improve existing training for students and apprentices in the 313D program be better at heat pump installation and servicing.
