Halocarbon Refrigerants Importers Mandated by Canada’s Federal Government to participate in a Stewardship Program

Environment Canada and Climate Change (ECCC) mandates all importers of Halocarbon refrigerants from the stationary refrigeration and air conditioning industry be part of a stewardship program effective in 2017 with the implementation of the P2 Plan for Halocarbons see link http://gazette.gc.ca/rp-pr/p1/2016/2016-05-21/html/sup2-eng.html

The importers' program must ensure proper management of these refrigerants through to end-of-life. The RMC Program ensures proper management, therefore all of the RMC program participants meet the requirements of the mandatory P2 Plan enforced by ECCC.
