Ripleys Aquarium  - 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

“As we are quite proud of our unique building and environment, we will be taking you to the following areas to see how we maintain our facility.  A tour of our AHU mechanical rooms, our chiller and cooling tower filtration room, the control room, our cooling towers and boiler room as well as a fantastic view of the city where you can get a great perspective of our unique roof.  All this will showcase our facility and complex way we are able to maintain both comfort cooling and most importantly the safety and quality of our exhibits from an HVAC / BAS standpoint.”

Evergreen Brickworks - 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

In the late 2000s, Canadian environmental charity Evergreen took on a new challenge; refurbishing and renewing a derelict, century-old brick factory, located in the picturesque Don Valley in Toronto. Our 60-minute tour will guide you around the site, explaining the obstacles (such as soil contamination and frequent flooding) that we met along the way to creating the sustainable campus you see today. Tour our LEED-certified main building, as well as the newly-renovated, carbon neutral TD Future Cities Centre with a knowledgeable member of our Facilities Management team. Get a behind the scenes look at our 40,000L reclaimed rain water system, as well the heart of our newest heating and cooling system - connecting our 40-borehole geofield with our 50,000ft2 heritage event space, and discuss with our facilities staff the various methods of heat reclamation, natural ventilation and other sustainable practices used across the site.

Bus (Kings Tour & Limousine Services Inc.): Pick up location – Ripley's Aquarium at 2:30pm - take guests to Evergreen Brickworks (tour ends at 4:30pm) bring guests back i.e. Drop off Location – Ripley's Aquarium.
