2010/11 Campaign in Support of Habitat for Humanity Canada a Huge Success!
HRAI joined with CIPH (Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating) on this new initiative in March 2010 and have been working together to provide product and cash to help build 500 homes in Canada during 2010 and 2011. Together members have donated over $2.5 million in cash and products for Habitat for Humanity Canada during the two year campaign. It is because of CIPH and HRAI member donations that over 450 Canadian families have a place to call home.

HRAI Launches 2012 and 2013 Fundraising Campaign in Support of Habitat for Humanity Canada
HRAI is excited to announce the launch of the 2012/2013 fundraising campaign in support of Habitat for Humanity Canada with a goal to raise $2.5 million during 2012 and 2013.
How can my company get involved?
- Product Donation – HRAI member product priorities include: Furnaces, HRV’s, Ventilation Fans, Humidifiers, Duct Work (including grills and registers), Controls, Valves and Venting Materials.
- Cash Donation
- HRAI Contractor Donation of Time and Expertise to a Habitat home build in your area.
- Donate Obsolete/Discontinued product to a Re-Store and receive a tax receipt for 50% of the retail value of the donation.
How can members donate?
It is HRAI's goal is to provide 300 packages (complete HVAC System for a home) of product certificates for 2012 and 350 packages of product certificates for 2013.
HRAI Members Products that can be donated include: Furnaces, HRV’s, Ventilation Fans, Humidifiers, Duct Work (including grills and registers), Controls, Valves and Venting Materials.
Habitat builds simple, basic homes; therefore, they cannot accept donations of luxury products.
HRAI Contractor members can donate time and expertise to Habitat home being built in their area.

Join HRAI and CIPH at a Gala Evening in Support of Habitat for Humanity - March 21, 2012
A Gala Evening to celebrate the fundraising efforts of CIPH and HRAI members will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, Toronto, ON. It is expected to attract more than 350 senior industry executives. This Gala evening will take place on the eve of CMXCIPHEX 2012, which runs March 22, 23 & 24, 2012 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

What is Habitat for Humanity Canada?
Habitat for Humanity Canada is a national, non-profit, faith-based organization working for a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. The mission of the organization is to mobilize volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing and promoting homeownership as a means to breaking the cycle of poverty.
How does Habitat for Humanity work?
Through volunteer labour, efficient management and tax-deductible donations of money and materials, Habitat builds simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner (partner) families. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit and financed with affordable, no-interest mortgages. In addition to mortgage payments, each homeowner invests hundreds of hours of their own labour, called "sweat equity", into the building of their house and the houses of others. Habitat for Humanity offers a Hand-Up not a Hand-Out.
